Guided by the vision of Dr. Jose Regueiro, Florida National College (FNC) opened its first campus 30 years ago in the City of Hialeah, a blue collar, predominantly Hispanic, neighborhood. FNC quickly attracted citizens throughout the community who had a thirst for knowledge as well as hopes and dreams to grow and be successful in America. Florida National College is proud to have helped many South Floridians achieve their dreams through hard work and education.

 

Like the students Florida National College serves, its founders, trustees, faculty, and staff all shared a dream. That dream, that the college might one day become a university, has come to fruition. Thanks to the hard work of everyone in the FNC family, the facility has been approved by SACS-COC to become a Level III institution and begin offering master’s degrees. Florida National College will soon be changing its name to Florida National University.

 

Florida National College is the first University born and raised in the City of Hialeah.
