Florida National University in Hialeah recently received top honors as School of the Year by the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges.
The university has partnered with a local business to host Community Health Fairs, providing students with the opportunity to apply their training and wellness knowledge to the benefit of the community. The campus also is involved with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The Minority Chamber of Commerce and the Doral Business Council.
Among other honors, Dr. Carlos Cuervo, Pediatric Nephrologist and Department Head of Florida National University’s Allied Health Division who teaches anatomy and biology, was selected to receive a Faculty of the Year award.
