August 28, 2025 – FoundCare, Inc., a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center, in partnership with the Promise Fund, celebrated the grand opening of its newly expanded Women’s Health Program at the Yolette Bonnet Center on Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach.
The ribbon-cutting event brought together local leaders, community partners, and health advocates to recognize the launch of accessible breast and cervical cancer screenings, supported through federal funding and Promise Fund’s donation of medical equipment. This initiative provides on-site mammography and diagnostic imaging, building on the success of FoundCare’s Palm Springs program, which has served more than 10,000 women since 2020.
A cornerstone of the program is the Promise Fund Patient Navigator model, which ensures every woman is supported from screening to follow-up care. Navigators support patients through appointments, connect them to treatment when necessary, and extend outreach in the community to emphasize the importance of early detection.
“There’s a woman at the centerpiece of every family. By ensuring women in our community have access to screenings and follow-up care, we are protecting families, preserving futures, and strengthening the entire community,” said FoundCare CEO Christopher Irizarry. “The success of our first Promise Fund Women’s Health Program in Palm Springs showed us what’s possible with thousands of women screened and cancers caught early. Expanding to the Yolette Bonnet Center is the next step in our ongoing commitment to ensuring no woman is left behind.”
FoundCare will now reach even more women, particularly those who face barriers to care due to income, insurance status, or transportation. The Yolette Bonnet Center is already scheduling appointments and expects to serve 7 to 10 patients per day during its first weeks of operation.
