May 9, 2023- FoundCare, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all individuals and families in the community, announced that it will be expanding its women’s health services to meet the growing demand for care. Starting May 8, 2023, FoundCare will be extending its service hours at the Yolette Bonnet Center and the Palm Springs health center to provide additional support to women in need.

The Palm Springs health center, located at 2330 South Congress Avenue, will now offer Women’s Health Services Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Yolette Bonnet Center, located at 5867 Okeechobee Boulevard, will now offer Women’s Health services Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday: 8 a.m to 4 p.m.

The decision to expand women’s health services comes after careful consideration and analysis of the community’s needs. FoundCare has noticed a significant increase in demand for women’s health services, including OB/GYN services, family planning, reproductive health, and prenatal and postpartum care. The expansion of service hours kicks off National Women’s Health Week, a week dedicated to encouraging women and girls to make their health a priority. Extended service hours will allow FoundCare to better serve its patients and ensure that all women have access to quality healthcare, for themselves and their families.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our women’s health services and offering extended hours, including Saturdays, to ensure more women have access to quality healthcare services that address their unique needs,” said FoundCare’s Chief Executive Officer Christopher Irizarry. “Women are the primary healthcare decision-makers for their families and communities and often put their health last or find themselves with very limited options for care after normal business hours. It was critical for us to offer evening and Saturday appointments to adapt to the needs of the women in our community.”

FoundCare is committed to providing comprehensive and confidential health services to women of all ages, races, and backgrounds. The nonprofit offers a range of services, including well-woman exams, birth control, STD testing and treatment, prenatal and postpartum care, and screening mammography. With the expansion of service hours, FoundCare hopes to increase access to these critical services and improve the health outcomes for women in the community.
