June 8, 2022 – GIA Miami, one of Miami’s fastest growing mental health treatment facilities, has announced the appointment of Sarah Norfleet to the position of Vice President of Business Development and Outreach. In this capacity, Norfleet will drive the strategic planning, growth and community relations for GIA Miami and its sister clinic, VITA Recovery, which specializes in drug and alcohol addiction treatment.

Norfleet has more than 30 years of experience working in specialty mental health programming in operations, business development and outreach, as well as experience consulting and working with national and international partners. She began her career at a Therapeutic Boarding School in Massachusetts. Most recently, she was a National Outreach Representative for Rogers Behavioral Health Clinic in Miami, FL.

Norfleet graduated from Wheaton College, Massachusetts with a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations. She has served as a member of the board of directors with Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools (MAAPS), The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) for several years, and is currently involved with the IECA Foundation board. She is also a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, volunteering in the Healthcare and HR committees, where she has been an advocate for mental health awareness, education and integration into the planning of chamber events and initiatives.
