Gila Kimmelman, associate administrator at North Ridge Medical Center, recently was honored with the University of Florida’s 2006 Outstanding Young Alumnus Award.

Kimmelman was selected by the UF Alumni Association as a graduate from the past 10 years who has distinguished herself in business and community service.

Kimmelman joined North Ridge Medical Center in 2005 to oversee hospital operations, including pharmacy, lab, rehab, respiratory, imaging, plant operations, food service and environmental departments. In 2004 and 2005, Kimmelman served as a committee member for the American Heart Association’s American Heart Walk and as team co-leader for the National MS Society’s MS150 Bike Tour. She also has been a committee member for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Kimmelman graduated with a master’s degree in health administration from the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the UF College of Business.
