The Cancer Institute at Good Samaritan Medical Center is teaming up with Mary Crowley Research Centers in an effort to increase clinical cancer research trial options. Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers is a leader in conducting innovative clinical trials and is pleased to join forces with Good Samaritan’s leading regional oncology center and Palm Beach Cancer Institute. To date, Mary Crowley Cancer Centers’ commitment to advance cutting edge therapies to cancer patients has resulted in their administration of more than 300 FDA-approved clinical trials. Operating in compliance with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the early phase clinical trials offered by Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers are more specialized, less toxic, and exquisitely designed to target key molecular pathways that impact cancer growth, while minimizing harm to the body’s healthy cells.

 

As a Mary Crowley research site, the hospital will work on a proven patient-centric model that allows the physicians to take the most promising laboratory discoveries and tailor options to the patient’s genetic profile. Their mission is to expand treatment options for all cancer patients through investigational vaccine, gene and cellular therapies. While Mary Crowley offers multiple advanced research options for many forms of cancer, one of these trials, a tumor cell vaccine for high-risk stage III ovarian cancer, is ongoing with the Palm Beach Cancer Institute’s staff of professionals who also provide inpatient care at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
