The late Harry T. Mangurian, Jr., was a successful businessman, sportsman and philanthropist who lived in Fort Lauderdale many years. He and his wife Dorothy, who passed away in 2008 and 2015, respectively, established The Harry T. Mangurian, Jr. Foundation in 1999, with a focus on advancing causes in health, higher education and hospital care.

The Harry T. Mangurian, Jr. Simulation Center will leverage advanced technology to provide opportunities for caregivers to work in teams and replicate several real-life scenarios that take place in an emergency department trauma bay, a full-scale operating room, and a critical care (ICU) room. The center will provide learning opportunities for residents and fellows enrolled in Cleveland Clinic Florida’s graduate medical education (GME) program, as well as nurses, technicians, EMS workers, firefighters and other members of the local medical community.
