July 1, 2026 – HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristen Lindenboom as its new chief operating officer. In this role, Lindenboom will oversee hospital operations, support strategic growth initiatives and collaborate with physicians, colleagues and community partners to advance the hospital’s mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Her leadership will help guide the hospital’s continued commitment to operational excellence, innovation and exceptional patient outcomes.

Lindenboom joins HCA Florida Aventura Hospital with more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience and a proven track record of operational excellence, strategic growth and service line development across HCA Healthcare’s East Florida Division. She most recently served as chief operating officer at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, where she led major capital expansion projects, advanced key clinical service lines and strengthened operational performance.

Earlier in her career, Lindenboom served as director of business development at HCA Florida Westside Hospital, where she led physician alignment and recruitment strategies that supported complex service line expansion and market growth. She later transitioned into hospital operations as associate vice president of operations at HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital before being promoted to chief operating officer at Plantation General Hospital. There, she launched inpatient behavioral health services and led key operational, quality and colleague engagement initiatives.

Lindenboom earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Stony Brook University.
