January 9, 2022 – HCA Florida Brandon Hospital has promoted Shannon Vanek, MHA, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, NE-BC, to assistant chief nursing officer (ACNO).
Vanek joined HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in 2017 as director of Women’s Services. In this role, she had daily oversight of high-risk labor and delivery patients as well as the nursery, mom and baby unit and gynecology. She also served as interim director of Pediatric Services and has experience as a labor and delivery charge nurse, case manager and nursing supervisor.

Vanek holds a Master’s in Health Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami. She is also a graduate of HCA Healthcare’s Leadership Development Program.
