Gainesville, Fla. – April 27, 2026 – Hundreds of local residents came out for a firsthand look at the new HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital over the weekend as the soon-to-be-open facility hosted a communitywide celebration and open house. The modern, patient-centered facility, set to open next month, will expand access to high-quality care for residents and visitors around the greater Gainesville area stretching to the Nature Coast and surrounding communities.
The community celebration on Saturday, April 25 included tours, activities for children and even a nighttime laser light show to provide families with the opportunity to learn more about the care available at what will be the first full-service hospital to open in the area in more than 50 years.
