March 3, 2025 – HCA Florida University Hospital, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, officially broke ground on a new 10,000-square-foot emergency room on Monday, March 3. The facility, located at 10100 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, FL, 33026, will enhance access to high-quality emergency care at the intersection of Pines Boulevard and Palm Avenue.

“This groundbreaking represents more than just the construction of a new building, it also symbolizes our commitment to expanding access to patient-centered, emergency care for residents of this growing community,” said Madeline Nava, CEO at HCA Florida University Hospital.

HCA Florida City Center Emergency will feature 11 treatment rooms, onsite physicians and nurses, and 24/7 emergency services, including laboratory and imaging capabilities.

During the ceremony, Pembroke Pines Vice Mayor and Commissioner Thomas Good, Jr. shared, “We are excited to have HCA Healthcare here in Pembroke Pines and to serve us at one of the busiest intersections in Pembroke Pines. We look forward to this partnership lasting for many years to come and benefiting our community members.”

The new freestanding emergency room is expected to be completed in early 2026.
