NOV 13, 2025, Broward County, Fl. – In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, three Broward-based HCA Florida Healthcare hospitals have joined forces to support Experience Aviation’s Mission of Hope Humanitarian Flight to Jamaica, led by Captain Barrington Irving.

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital, and HCA Florida Westside Hospital collectively donated pallets of essential relief supplies – including baby formula, nonperishable foods, bottled water, and medical and emergency supplies – to assist families recovering from the storm’s impact.

Many colleagues across the three hospitals have deep roots in Jamaica, with relatives and loved ones directly affected by Hurricane Melissa. Guided by HCA Healthcare’s unwavering commitment to the care and improvement of human life, hospital teams quickly mobilized to collect, organize, and prepare critical supplies for transport.

To extend their impact, HCA Healthcare is matching colleague donations to the Red Cross and Mercy Chefs up to $25,000, and through the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund, will assist colleagues with travel expenses incurred while helping family members evacuate out of the country.

The joint initiative reflects HCA Healthcare’s ongoing commitment and history of community service, emergency and disaster response, and caring for its colleagues and their families, both locally and abroad.
