December 6, 2023 – HCA Florida Highlands Hospital has named Henry Capote as its chief financial officer (CFO.) He began his position on December 4, 2023.

Capote holds over 20 years of experience in healthcare finance. He most recently served as the chief financial officer of Coral Gables Hospital – an affiliate of Steward Health Care – located in Coral Gables, Florida. Capote played a key role in the development of their freestanding emergency department and expansion of their robot-assisted surgery service line. He also achieved steady EBITDA growth of $9.7 million over a six-year span.

Prior to his current position, he worked in various finance roles at facilities across south Florida, including controller, assistant controller, and financial analyst.

Capote earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his master of business administration in management/leadership from Florida Gulf Coast University. He is affiliated with the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni Association.
