May 15, 2023 – HCA Florida JFK Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of a highly accomplished healthcare executive, Ken West, as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 12. With an exceptional track record of leadership and a deep commitment to patient care, Ken brings a wealth of experience to this pivotal role. He has spent the last 14 years with HCA Healthcare, most recently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Regional Medical Center of San Jose in California.

Prior to serving as CEO, Ken has held many HCA Healthcare leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer at Regional, Chief Operating Officer at Medical Center of Trinity, Associate Chief Operating Officer at Chippenham & Johnston-Willis Medical Center and Associate Chief Operating Officer at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.

Ken earned his bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences from Louisiana State University and his master’s in health systems administration from Georgetown University. Ken actively participates on several boards and local leadership institutes, serving his community with the same enthusiasm and commitment he shows to our patients.
