July 12, 2023 – HCA Florida JFK North Hospital has added Carey Estes as Vice President of Quality responsible for quality improvement, patient safety and accreditation at the 280-bed full-service acute care hospital.
With more than a decade of quality improvement experience, Estes has worked on several valuable projects, including redesigning medication administration process; standardizing the use of high-risk medications; and decreasing interruptions and distractions during high-risk processes.
Most recently, she served as Director of Quality at Mission Hospital in Ashville, North Carolina, named by Healthgrades as one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals from 2020 – 2023, identifying the top 1% of hospitals in the nation for providing the highest clinical quality year over year.
HCA Florida JFK North Hospital, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, has served Palm Beach County for close to 50 years. Today, with more than 950 physicians, it houses an Advanced Primary Stroke Center as recognized by the Joint Commission in addition to departments in gastroenterology, pulmonary and vascular surgery, pain management, radiology, orthopedics, urology, and surgical services, among others. We also offer behavioral health services for seniors, adults, adolescents and children.
Located at 2201 45th Street, the hospital also is the largest provider of behavior health services and the only child center in Palm Beach County offering a full continuum of prevention, treatment and support to address mental health and wellness.
