May 15, 2023 – HCA Florida JFK North Hospital has added William Jackson Jr., MD, MBA as Assistant Chief Medical Officer where he will assist in the management of all clinical functions at the 280-bed acute care West Palm Beach hospital.

An accomplished, results-oriented physician executive with more than two decades in the field, Dr. Jackson previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Erlanger Health System, one of the nation’s largest public healthcare systems. He also served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer responsible for quality and safety, physician services, and inpatient and outpatient care delivery.

Dr. Jackson received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his postgraduate training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and earned his MBA at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine and is a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians.

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, has served Palm Beach County for close to 50 years. Today, with more than 950 physicians, it houses an Advanced Primary Stroke Center as recognized by the Joint Commission in addition to departments in gastroenterology, pulmonary and vascular surgery, pain management, radiology, orthopedics, urology, and surgical services, among others.

Located at 2201 45th Street, the hospital also is the largest provider of behavior health services and the only child center in Palm Beach County offering a full continuum of prevention, treatment and support to address mental health and wellness.
