August 18, 2026 – HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital today marked the groundbreaking of a new parking garage that will bring nearly 600 parking spaces to the hospital campus, supporting continued growth and improving access and convenience for patients, visitors and colleagues.
Hospital leaders, physicians and colleagues gathered at the future site of the parking garage Tuesday morning to commemorate the start of the project.
The new garage is part of HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital’s continued investment in its campus as the hospital works to keep pace with the needs of a growing community. In addition to expanding parking capacity, HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is moving forward with a fifth-floor tower expansion that will add 32 patient beds, increasing the hospital’s capacity to care for more patients close to home.
The fifth-floor tower expansion is expected to open in early 2027, followed by the new parking garage in May.

The new parking garage will help accommodate increased activity across the hospital campus while providing additional parking for patients, visitors and colleagues.
The planned addition of 32 beds on the hospital’s fifth floor further reflects HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital’s ongoing efforts to strengthen access to healthcare services and prepare for the future needs of St. Lucie County and the Treasure Coast.
Tuesday’s groundbreaking brought together HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital colleagues and leaders to celebrate the milestone and the hospital’s continued commitment to investing in the community it serves.
