April 3, 2026 – HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital marked a significant milestone in its ongoing expansion project with the placement of the final beam atop the facility’s new fifth-floor tower. The beam, signed by hospital staff and leaders, symbolizes the collective commitment to meeting the growing healthcare needs of the community.
The tower expansion will add 32 additional patient beds, enhancing the hospital’s capacity to deliver high-quality care as demand for healthcare services continues to rise across the region. The milestone was celebrated with a ceremonial “topping out” event, bringing together physicians, nurses, colleagues, and construction partners who have contributed to the project’s progress.
“This milestone represents more than just the progress of a building. It reflects our unwavering commitment to the patients and families we serve,” said Eric Goldman, Chief Executive Officer of HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. “By expanding our capacity and investing in our infrastructure, we are ensuring that our community has access to exceptional care when and where they need it most.”
In addition to the tower expansion, the project includes the development of a nearly 600-space parking garage designed to improve accessibility and convenience for patients, visitors, and staff.
Both the tower and parking garage are expected to be completed by early 2027.
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital remains dedicated to advancing healthcare in the Treasure Coast region through strategic growth and continuous investment in patient-centered services.
