July 17, 2025 – HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. John Rimmer, has been appointed as Chief Medical Officer, effective August 4, 2025.
Dr. Rimmer is dually board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine and brings more than a decade of clinical and administrative leadership experience to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. He most recently served as System Chief Medical Officer at CarePoint Health in New Jersey, where he led quality initiatives, clinical operations, and innovation across a three-hospital system.
Throughout his career, Dr. Rimmer has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to improving patient safety, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
