May 23, 2023 – HCA Florida Mercy Hospital, a comprehensive medical facility that has been serving the healthcare needs of South Florida for more than 70 years,  has named Ben Warner as Chief Nursing Officer.

Warner’s hospital career spans 34 years. Since joining HCA 28 years ago, he has worked at several HCA Healthcare affiliated hospitals in Virginia and Florida in a variety of nursing leadership roles in the emergency department and nursing administration.  Most recently, he served for 14 years at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia as the chief nursing officer where he helped develop new services to include level II trauma, maternal couplet care, NICU transport teams, and various major hospital expansion projects. Since joining Healthtrust in 2021, he has served as interim chief nursing officer at HCA hospitals, most recently at Mercy.

Warner received his Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Shenandoah University, Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Virginia Tech, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors’ University and Master’s in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University.
