April 25, 2023 – HCA Florida Mercy Hospital, a comprehensive medical facility that has been serving the healthcare needs of South Florida for more than 70 years, has named Maidoly Martinez as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer.
This move is a natural progression for Martinez. She began at Mercy in 2014 as a registered nurse in Behavioral Health Services, steadily moving up the ranks to serve as program director of inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health Services. Martinez’s most recent position is director of Mercy’s 8 Carroll, Neuro/Stroke Telemetry unit.
Martinez earned a master’s degree in nursing executive leadership and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University. She is currently completing post master’s work to obtain her nurse practitioner degree from Walden University. Martinez is also an adjunct faculty member at Florida National University, where she teaches and supervises nursing students in clinical settings.
