January 18, 2024 – HCA Florida Northside Hospital has named Tammy Samuel as human resources vice president (HRVP). Samuel is returning to Northside Hospital after previously serving as the facility’s HRVP from 2015-2018.
Samuel is a high performing senior level HR professional with 20 years of experience. In addition to providing strategic HR leadership, she has broad expertise and experience in benefits and compensation, employee relations and engagement, payroll, leadership development and talent acquisition.
Over the course of her HR career, she has worked in a variety of industries, including health care, insurance and retail. Most recently, she was a business owner. Prior to her entrepreneurial experience, she was with HCA Healthcare from 2005-2020 working at several hospitals in both Florida and Virginia, most recently as HRVP at HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton.
She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Western Governor’s University.
