October 10, 2023 – HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, a 289-bed facility, and part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in the state, welcomes George Gilliam as the new Vice President of Operations at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital.

Before coming to Northwest Hospital, he was the Director of Rehabilitative Services at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. George has demonstrated a strong track record of leadership in performance improvement, team building, and overall cost-efficiency.

Prior to joining HCA Healthcare, George has held leadership roles at several healthcare organizations. He spent a portion of his career working at the Department of Veteran Affairs where he had the opportunity to work in operations. After leaving the VA, he became a rehab administrator where he led building activations, process improvements, and other special projects.

He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine; MHA and MBA from Baylor University. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, running, and watching sports.

George’s first day at Northwest Hospital is Monday, October 30, 2023. Please give him a warm welcome as he joins our HCA Florida Northwest Hospital family.
