April 24, 2023 – Corey Lovelace has been named chief executive officer (CEO) of HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital, a 207-bed acute care facility located in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Lovelace previously served the last three and a half years as chief operating officer of HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, a 447-bed facility with two free-standing emergency rooms. During his time at Kendall, he grew key service lines, including robotic surgery, cardiology, urology and gynecology. He also helped facilitate approximately $200 million in capital projects, expanding the hospital’s capabilities and access points to support the growth of the Miami-Dade market.

Prior to Kendall, Lovelace served as the chief operating officer of HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital. He has also held other hospital administration roles in Indiana and Alabama and is a decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Lovelace was stationed at bases in Mississippi, New Mexico and Italy and deployed to support Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Lovelace earned his bachelor’s degree in health care management and a master’s degree in business administration and health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Lovelace will begin his position at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital on May 22, 2023.
