August 23, 2024 – HCA Florida Westside Hospital is proud to announce its recent designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, accredited by DNV. This significant milestone underscores the hospital’s commitment to providing the highest level of stroke care to the Plantation community and beyond.
To celebrate this achievement, HCA Florida Westside Hospital hosted a morning celebration attended by Plantation community stakeholders, first responders, and hospital staff. The event highlighted the hospital’s advanced capabilities in treating complex stroke cases and recognized the dedication of the entire stroke care team.
The event was held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at HCA Florida Westside Hospital 8201 West Broward Blvd Plantation, FL 33324 at 9:00am- 10:30am

The celebration featured a powerful and inspiring speech by Allison Hopkins, a 41-year-old stroke survivor who was treated at HCA Florida Westside Hospital. Allison will share her remarkable journey, highlighting the exceptional care and support she received, which played a critical role in her recovery.

Mr. Tyrer concluded the event by expressing gratitude to all attendees and inviting them for a First Responders group photo to commemorate the special occasion.
