Oath Ceremony
November 10, 2025 – HCA Florida Westside Hospital proudly congratulates Dr. Cameron Summers-Powell on taking the Oath of Office as a pathology resident in the United States Navy. This significant ceremony, officiated by Dr. Alan Schiller, former Pathology Medical Director and retired U.S. Navy Captain, marks Dr. Summers-Powell’s transition from civilian status to military officer, affirming his solemn legal and moral commitment to serve the nation.
On October 17, 2025, Dr. Summers-Powell’s accepted the unlimited liability and willingness to place the needs of service and his future patient’s above his own, joining a long tradition of military physicians dedicated to service and medical excellence.. This oath represents the foundation of military professionalism, linking his medical expertise at HCA Florida Westside Hospital with the duty to defend and support.
