October 3, 2025 – HCA Florida Westside Hospital has been awarded First Place in the “Consistent Performance in Reducing Disparities in Door to Needle in 45 Minutes” category by the Florida Stroke Registry, honoring its outstanding achievement in advancing equitable, timely care for stroke patients from 2022–2024.
This award highlights the hospital’s unwavering commitment to excellence in stroke care and its success in delivering critical treatment quickly and consistently across diverse patient populations. The recognition underscores HCA Florida Westside Hospital’s exceptional performance in meeting key benchmarks, including:
• Maintaining data across three consecutive years (2022–2024)
• Achieving at least 90% compliance across all years and race/ethnicity (compared to the state benchmark of 86%)
• Maintaining standard deviation (SD) ranges between 1.1 and 4 across all years and race/ethnicity, with the highest mean performance across the state during this period
