Drew Tyrer, a seasoned healthcare leader with a remarkable track record, joins the hospital after serving as the CEO at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, for the past two years.
With over a decade of experience within the HCA Healthcare network, Drew Tyrer brings a wealth of expertise and strategic vision to his new role. During his tenure at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, he demonstrated outstanding leadership by fostering growth across various service lines, including orthopedics, general surgery, and vascular services. His commitment to delivering Excellence ALWAYS care has resulted in significant achievements, including a 45% reduction in contract labor within a year and substantial improvements in engagement and quality performance.

Prior to his role as CEO at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, Drew Tyrer held various executive positions within the HCA Healthcare system, including Associate Chief Operating Officer at Eastside Medical Center in Georgia and Chief Operating Officer at TriStar StoneCrest and TriStar Summit Medical Centers in Tennessee. Drew’s journey with HCA Healthcare began as an Administrative Resident at TriStar Health in Brentwood.
Drew Tyrer holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Dayton, as well as an MBA and master’s in health services administration from Xavier University. He is actively involved in his community and volunteers with organizations such as the United Way, the Middle Tennessee ACHE Mentorship Program, the HCA Executive Development Program, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
