April 13, 2026 – HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Britner as chief executive officer, effective April 13.
Britner returns to HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital, where he previously served as chief operating officer from 2021 to 2023. His familiarity with the hospital’s physicians, services and community uniquely positions him to build upon the hospital’s strong foundation and lead its next chapter.

Most recently, Britner served as chief operating officer at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. Under his leadership, the hospital earned distinction as a Healthgrades “Top 50 Hospital” in 2026, reflecting sustained excellence in patient care. The hospital is also one of the top trauma programs for outcomes in the nation.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis
