January 21, 2025 – HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest health system in the state, has named Amit Parmar as its new chief operating officer (COO). The eight-year HCA Healthcare veteran brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role.

Parmar joins the HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital executive team from HCA Healthcare sister facility, Tristar Skyline Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where he most recently served as vice president of operations. In that role, he oversaw several key capital investment projects including the launch of the HCA Healthcare TriStar Division’s first Helicopter Fuel Depot, the planning and phasing of an additional $128M tower expansion, and an East Nashville FSER expansion.

Parmar is dedicated to extending the enterprise’s mission beyond the walls of the hospital. In his local Tennessee community, he served on several boards including ACHE of Middle Tennessee, Friends of Mill Ridge Park, and the Nashville Humane Society. He is also a board member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Parmar earned his master’s degree in public health and his master’s degree in healthcare administration from Barry University.
