December 21, 2023 – West Palm Beach, Fla. – HCI College, a leading institutionally accredited private post-secondary school, today announced its membership into the National League for Nursing (NLN), reinforcing the institution’s mission to cultivate highly skilled and capable nursing professionals. NLN is the leading organization for nurse faculty, schools of nursing, and leaders in nursing education.
“Joining the National League for Nursing is an inspiring milestone for us and adds more value to our program,” said Celeste Blackwell, Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer. “It’s more than a membership; it reflects our commitment to educating students for diverse healthcare and technical careers, preparing them to serve our communities.”
For 130 years, NLN and its members have been committed to nursing education excellence to build a robust and more diverse nursing workforce through learning, community, and inspiration. The organization will provide HCI College with resources and training that complement its curriculum and enrich its students’ learning experience.
In addition to joining the NLN, HCI College has established academic partnerships with three prestigious institutions, including Grand Canyon University, Walden University, and Chamberlain University. These partnerships foster academic excellence and innovation, broaden educational opportunities for HCI students, faculty, and staff, offer advanced learning and professional development opportunities, and provide the HCI College community with access to specialized programs and enhanced educational resources.
“Building and fostering these types of partnerships with institutions of higher learning is part of our continued efforts to fulfill our mission and enhance educational opportunities for our students,” added David Shelpman, Group Campus President and Chief Operating Officer.
HCI College’s commitment to providing quality education is demonstrated by its graduates’ exceptional outcomes on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). In the third quarter of 2023, students at the West Palm Beach campus (NCLEX #US70414600) maintained a 100% pass rate for the second consecutive quarter, and students at the Ft. Lauderdale campus (NCLEX #US70413500) achieved an 84.21% pass rate.
