November 2, 2023 – The West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System (WPBVAHCS) proudly announces the recent Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation. The accreditation of the Nurse Residency Program highlights the commitment to top-tier nursing education and practice.
Officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency, CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency/fellowship programs in nursing. The newly accredited Nurse Residency Program will allow for specialized training and continuous, streamlined recruitment for Registered Nurses, who serve as a pillar of healthcare delivery across the country.
The WPBVAHCS Office of Professional Development’s Education Coordinator, Dr. Christin Protesto states, “The CCNE accreditation affirms the healthcare system’s dedication toward cultivation and preparation of new graduate Registered Nurses to develop the tailored knowledge and skills essential to care for Veterans and their families.”
