Attorney Paul R. DeMuro, of counsel in the Fort Lauderdale office of Broad and Cassel, now adds Ph.D. to his growing list of accomplishments. DeMuro recently earned a doctorate in biomedical informatics, statewide law firm Broad and Cassel announced.

 

DeMuro earned his doctorate degree through Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in Portland, OR. His studies focused on clinical informatics which transforms health care by analyzing, designing, implementing and evaluating information to improve patient care, enhance access to care, advance individual and population health outcomes, and strengthen the clinician-patient relationship. Such concepts are key to the transition from fee-for-service medicine to the evolving payment-for-quality and cost-effective models, which are becoming increasingly prevalent in our health care delivery system.
