Ralph A. Aleman, chief executive officer at Hialeah Hospital, recently announced the appointment of Steven Burghart as chief operating officer.

Burghart has more than 10 years of experience in healthcare administration. Prior to joining Hialeah Hospital, he served as associate administrator at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Burghart previously was corporate director of operations excellence for Tenet Healthcare Corporation and regional team leader of the company’s Commitment to Quality (C2Q) and Target 100 quality initiatives.
