May 21, 2020 Holy Cross Hospital is grateful to Jan Moran and the Jim Moran Foundation for their generous philanthropic commitment to the Catherine McAuley Fund.

On behalf of Jan Moran, The Jim Moran Foundation has approved an emergency response grant in the amount of $100,000.00 for the Catherine McAuley Fund. The intent of this grant is to provide direct and sufficient assistance to Holy Cross Hospital’s employees and contractors for food, childcare, utilities and housing as a result of loss of income and employment from the effects of COVID-19. This grant is also to provide the most immediate intervention for those who are being impacted by this unprecedented health crisis.

Furthermore, The Jim Moran Foundation has approved a $100,000.00 challenge grant to provide additional funding for the Catherine McAuley Fund with a minimum of 50% of the dollar-for-dollar challenge grant being allocated for COVID-19 response. Moved by the foundation’s generosity, on behalf of the Holy Cross Hospital medical executive staff, Dr. Jon A. Kotler, president, delivered a $50,000 check toward the match.
