Board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology by the American Board of International Medicine, Dr. Perry previously served as assistant professor of clinical medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. Prior to becoming a doctor, he served as a nurse at the Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

 

He completed a fellowship in endocrinology at Vanderbilt University, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL, and bachelor’s degrees in nursing and biomedical sciences from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL.
