In cooperation with Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center (PBGMC), Hospice of Palm Beach County (HPBC) will soon open its fifth inpatient unit at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. The unit will be fully operational in mid July and an open house will be held prior to the official opening.

Striving to meet the growing needs of patients and families seeking hospice care in our community, the unit will be located on the second floor of the hospital and will have 12 beds (10 private and one semi-private rooms). The unit will be decorated, operated and staffed by Hospice of Palm Beach County. The new unit will provide the same acute care inpatient services as Hospices four other inpatient units at Good Samaritan Medical Center, JFK Medical Center, Bethesda Memorial Hospital and HPBCs main facility, the Charles W. Gerstenberg Hospice Center. Patients and their families will receive comprehensive medical, emotional and spiritual care by a team of caring physicians, pharmacists, nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, music therapists and volunteers.
