Fort Lauderdale, FL—January 22, 2023. Leading orthopedic surgeons from Florida and around the country discussed the latest advances in the field at the 8th Annual Winter Technology & Innovation in Orthopedics Symposium in Fort Lauderdale. The event, hosted by Hospital for Special Surgery/HSS Florida in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic Florida, Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute and the University of Miami Health System, took place at the W Hotel on January 12 and 13.

Presentations covered novel techniques and technologies, evidence-based treatments, and advanced recovery and pain protocols in orthopedic surgery. Attendees earned continuing medical education credits in the areas of knee and hip surgery and joint replacement; joint preservation; shoulder surgery; spine surgery; sports medicine; and physical therapy.

The symposium was started eight years ago by Martin Roche, MD, director of joint replacement surgery at HSS FL.
