For some institutions, innovation is a goal. A promise. A vision.

At Jupiter Medical Center, innovation is all of those factors and so much more. Innovation is a fluid, everyday reality defined by the health care we provide today and the vision of health care we are building for the future.

Jupiter Medical Center takes pride in its embrace of excellence in health care delivery and patient experiences. Together, we continue to grow and innovate by providing world-class health care, expanding facilities and technologies, and recruiting nationally renowned clinicians to our region.

Innovation is practiced daily through the expertise of our exceptional clinicians and dedicated support team members. It is powered by our faithful community partners and inspired donors who embrace the value and impact of doing our best today while continuing to transform the future of health care for future generations.

Here’s what innovation looks like at Jupiter Medical Center:

A 90,000-square-foot Surgical Center: The Johnny and Terry Gray Surgical Institute offers 16 “smart operating rooms” to accommodate complex surgeries, complemented by two hybrid suites that support the ability to transition seamlessly from minimally invasive surgery to an open procedure, enhancing patient experience.

The center’s “operating rooms of the future” use state-of-the-art digitally integrated equipment, allowing surgical teams to access and transmit patient images from the operating room to other multidisciplinary specialists for real-time consultations. As they wait for a loved one, whether they are in the next room or in a different time zone, patients’ family members will receive real-time updates via leading-edge communication technology.

Expanded Emergency Department: Our Petrocelli Emergency Center features advanced clinical equipment, spacious patient and triage areas, and expansive waiting areas for loved ones. Serving as the “front door” of the hospital, the emergency department has increased capacity by 30%, meeting the health care needs of even more members of our community. New technology includes a dedicated CT scanner featuring True Fidelity technology that leverages Artificial Intelligence to perform deep learning imaging reconstruction.

Next Day Oncologist Appointments at the Anderson Family Cancer Institute: The hospital’s team of multidisciplinary cancer experts are ushering in a new era of cancer care in South Florida. Building on their estimable accreditation and clinical expertise, the team launched a simple but powerful patient-centered concept: next-day oncologist appointments for patients newly diagnosed with cancer. Immediate access to cancer experts and the additional support of an oncology nurse navigator combine to support innovative, compassionate and patient-focused cancer care.

Expanded Care for Cardiac and Stroke Patients: Patients with heart disease, including atrial fibrillation and valve defects, can take advantage of innovative procedures at the Robson Heart & Vascular Institute and our Atrial Fibrillation Center of Excellence. Working in conjunction with our Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, awarded High-Performing by U.S. News & World Report, clinicians and team members treat heart disease and the underlying conditions that cause strokes. Leading-edge procedures include transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) and endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR).

What drives innovation at Jupiter Medical Center? Dedicated leaders, physicians, and team members who provide the highest level of care to discerning patients throughout South Florida. While generous support from our community members and donors is an investment in the region’s only independent not-for-profit hospital for future generations to come.

Indeed, the future of health care in our region is bright. Thanks to our colleagues and supporters, it’s being illuminated and driven by innovation.
