Broward County Commissioners recently recognized Imperial Point Medical Center (IPMC) at its annual Emerald Awards ceremony, which honors businesses that excel in waste reduction, recycling, improved operating practices and other “green” strategies to reduce pollution and waste. IPMC was recognized in the category of Innovative Procedures/Process Improvement for a large business. Additionally, IPMC was awarded “Environmental Business of the Year.” Last year, IPMC received the Emerald Award for Pollution Prevention/Hazardous Waste Reduction for a large business.
