That is why the Broward County Medical Association created the Business of Medicine, an educational initiative designed to help physicians, residents, and medical students thrive in today’s evolving healthcare environment.
Born out of the BCMA’s commitment to supporting physicians at every stage of their careers, these conferences have become educational and networking opportunities in South Florida. They are tailored for physicians, residents, and medical students who are seeking knowledge, resources, and connections that support their medical careers and practice models.
The Business of Medicine Conference, taking place on August 29, 2026, will focus on the practical side of medicine that is often overlooked in traditional medical education. Attendees will hear from leading physicians, attorneys, economists, financial advisors, and healthcare experts on topics such as contracts, medical law, reimbursement, wealth planning, practice management, and career development.
Later this fall, on October 17, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the BCMA will host its AI Conference, exploring one of the most important and rapidly developing forces in medicine today. Artificial intelligence is already transforming the way physicians document care, analyze data, communicate with patients, and make decisions. The conference will bring together physicians, scholars, AI innovators, and technology leaders to discuss both the opportunities and the challenges that accompany these advances.
What makes these conferences unique is the opportunity to learn from experts while also building relationships with colleagues and future collaborators. Each event features a dynamic half-day session of education and networking, giving attendees the chance to engage directly with speakers and one another.
This year, we are also introducing a new opportunity for organizations that are hiring physicians.
