James Benenati, M.D., has been named president for the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL).

In addition to serving as president of ICAVL, Dr. Benenati is also the medical director of Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute’s Peripheral Vascular Laboratory. He is the program director of the Institute’s fellowship program in interventional radiology.

Dr. Benenati received his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Indiana University Medical Center and his fellowship in cardiovascular and interventional radiology at John Hopkins Medical School.
