JFK Medical Center (JFK) recently announced that Gina Melby has been appointed Chief Executive Officer.

Melby has an extensive history with HCA. Prior to joining JFK, she was CEO of Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida for seven years. As CEO of Northwest, she gained approval for capital expansion projects in excess of $30 million to expand the hospital by 40 beds and expand its vascular center. She also helped develop new services; increased growth, revenue, physician resources and marketing; and improved community image of the hospital’s healthcare programs.

Before being appointed as CEO of Northwest, Melby served as the Chief Operating Officer of the hospital for two years.
