Baptist Health South Florida Foundation named Jim Boruszak Volunteer of the Year for Mariners Hospital.

Boruszak serves as a volunteer with the Mariners Hospital Auxiliary and is a member of the Mariners Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. He also has made generous financial donations to the Foundation to support Mariners Hospital.

A native of Chicago, Boruszak earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. He also holds an honorary doctorate from the university. A lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, Boruszak saw active duty during the Korean War. Prior to moving to the Keys permanently in 1996, Boruszak owned a small insurance agency, B.L.U. Benefits Group, Inc.
