Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is known in South Florida as one of the region’s leading pediatric hospitals in Broward and Palm Beach, and one that cares for children with specialized and acute needs. While historically located in south Broward County and treating a high number of patients from Palm Beach, the hospital is now extending its footprint by opening its first specialty physician practice in Wellington.
This new development is meant to foster collaboration with area pediatricians and other healthcare providers, bringing the hospital’s highly specialized services closer to home for patients and the Palm Beach community. Also, it will help to fill a need for such pediatric services in that area.
The new office, a 30,000 square-feet facility, will house full-time physicians in multiple areas of pediatric specialties.
