CEO Joe Rudisill announced that Jonathan Jefferson has been appointed Vice President of Operations for HCA Florida Englewood Hospital.
January 17, 2024 – Jonathan Jefferson has been appointed Vice President of Operations for HCA Florida Englewood Hospital beginning January 15, 2024. Jonathan brings more than 12 years of leadership, operations and construction project experience.
Jonathan served as the Division Director of Operations for HCA Healthcare Pathology Services in the West Florida Division in his most recent role. He was responsible for pathology operations across HCA West Florida Division’s 16 hospitals.
Before that, he was the Vice President of Operations and interim Chief Operating Officer at Memorial Health University Medical Center (MHUMC), a 612-bed hospital in Savannah, Georgia, and part of the HCA Healthcare South Atlantic Division. He was responsible for Radiology, Laboratory, Respiratory, Facilities, Oncology, Rehab Services, Pharmacy, Sleep Lab, EEG, Wound Care, Environment of Care, Emergency Management, Property Management, and Construction Management, as well as interim administrative oversight of Surgical Services, Cardiovascular Services, and Trauma.
Before his time at MHUMC, Jonathan was the Assistant Administrator, Co-Ethics and Compliance Officer, and interim Chief Operating Officer for HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. He provided administrative leadership over Surgical Services, Rehab Services, Facilities, Radiology, Laboratory, Food and Nutrition, Environmental Services, Transport Services, Volunteer Services, and Pastoral Care.
Jonathan began his career with HCA Healthcare in 2012. He has served in various roles, including an Implementation Specialist for Electronic Health Records, Program Manager of Clinical Informatics, and Manager of Strategy and Planning for the Clinical Services Group Department.
Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Medicine, Health and Society, and Spanish from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Lipscomb University in Nashville.
