BOCA RATON, FL – October 16, 2023– Board-certified hematologic oncologist Jonathan Weltz, D.O., joins Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He is fluent in English and Hebrew.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Weltz to Lynn Cancer Institute,” said Louise Morrell, M.D., medical director at Lynn Cancer Institute. “His extensive clinical training and research background, along with his passionate commitment to patient care, make him a valuable addition to our organization.”

Prior to joining Lynn Cancer Institute, Dr. Weltz completed a clinical fellowship in hematology-oncology at New York University Langone Long Island School of Medicine.

His hematology-oncology research has been published in Blood, Nature, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Expert Review of Hematology. Dr. Weltz has also presented his findings at national conferences, including the American Society of Hematology.

“I find it extremely gratifying to contribute to research that directly impacts cancer treatment for patients. I am here to work with my patients and give them the latest information so they can active, informed decisions about their care,” he said.

Dr. Weltz earned his osteopathic medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Osteopathic Association.

He will see patients at Lynn Cancer Institute, located at 701 NW 13th St., Floor 3, Boca Raton, FL 33486.
