September 13, 2023 – Board-certified cardiologist Julio Grajeda Chavez, M.D., recently joined Baptist Health. Dr. Grajeda Chavez provides general cardiac care with a special focus on preventive cardiology, lipid disorders, hypertension, valvular heart disease and congestive heart failure. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Grajeda Chavez completed his cardiology fellowship from Columbia University’s Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, earning Cardiology Fellow of the Year for his commitment to innovative care.
Outside of clinical care, Dr. Grajeda Chavez participates in a variety of research projects, including a novel study on a new technique to measure the impact of exercise and fitness on cardiac function. He is also a member of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Grajeda Chavez earned his medical degree from Universidad Anáhuac Faculty of Health Sciences and received multiple awards for academic excellence. He then completed his internal medicine residency at University of Miami’s Palm Beach Regional Graduate Medical Education Consortium.
