Target completion date for the $110 million project is May 2025

April 21, 2023– Jupiter Medical Center has received final approval from the Town of Jupiter for a new five-story, 92-bed patient tower. The building is a $110 million project and will add to the hospital’s existing 248-bed capacity. In addition to the tower, the medical center is also approved to build a five-deck garage with 800 parking spaces, a project estimated to cost approximately $25 million. Both projects come amid significant expansions and renovations to the independent, not-for-profit medical center’s main campus at 1210 S. Old Dixie Highway in the heart of Jupiter.

The new patient tower will increase the hospital’s capacity for inpatient care, including oncology, cardiovascular, and orthopedics. The patient tower and the parking garage have a target completion date of May 2025.

“Jupiter Medical Center is currently undergoing the most transformative period in our 44-year history,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “We have several expansion projects underway to ensure our community continues to have access to the highest quality health care and best patient experience for generations to come – and right where they need it, close to home.”

All of the hospital’s recent projects center on increasing access to world-class health care, with a strong focus on integrating state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest levels of clinical excellence and the best outcomes for patients.

To meet the needs of our growing community, other recent projects include the expansion and renovation of the emergency department, which was unveiled in January. The Petrocelli Emergency Center increased in capacity by 30 percent with the addition of 11 ER rooms and eight Fast Track bays to treat patients with non-life-threatening ailments. Then, later this year, the hospital will open its highly anticipated Johnny and Terry Gray Surgical Institute. The 90,000-square-foot Surgical Institute will feature 16 smart operating rooms and two hybrid operating suites. The project met a construction milestone in February 2023 with a celebratory topping-off ceremony.
